DUSHANBE, July 19, 2016, Asia-Plus – A three-stage operation carried out by drug control officers has led to the seizure of more than 16 kilograms of drugs, according to the Drug Control Agency (DCA) press center.
Three residents of the northern city of Istaravshan were reportedly detained at the checkpoint Dehmoy in the Jabborrasoulov district on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking.
Three packages of narcotic drugs that tested positive to heroin (1.915 kilograms) and hashish (14.418 kilograms) were confiscated from them.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug traffickers and an investigation is under way.
