Greetings from the world leaders receive Uzbek President Islam Karimov on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, which is celebrated on 1 September.

In particular, Islam Karimov has received a congratulatory telegram from the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, reports the press service of the head of the RU.

Also with the 25th anniversary of independence of Uzbekistan congratulated Karimov the President Barack Obama and Chinese President XI Jinping.

Congratulations to the President of Uzbekistan also sent the heads of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Belarus, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Germany, Poland and other countries. Congratulations continue to arrive, said the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

Note that earlier media with the reference to diplomatic sources in Tashkent said that Uzbek authorities canceled the official part of the festivities dedicated to the 25th anniversary of independence.

Meanwhile, the health of a 78-year-old President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, who was admitted to the hospital four days ago with a stroke, remained unknown.
