Khoja made an appeal to the people of Tajikistan in connection with the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the state independence.

More than 6 thousand citizens of Tajikistan, which this year make the pilgrimage to the Holy sites of Islam in Saudi Arabia, adopted an appeal to the people of the country in connection with the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic.

In the appeal, the text of which became available to Asia-Plus, noted that "Tajikistan in the years of its independence under the leadership of the faithful and glorious son of Tajik people Emomali Rahmon has made significant progress in many spheres of life."

"Our country in the sphere of freedom of conscience, freedom of religion has made a breakthrough in this period. If in the years of the Soviet Union only few citizens of Tajikistan were able to perform the Hajj, during the years of independence more than 200 thousand Tajiks became Khoja," – say the pilgrims.

Tajik Khoja, who are in Mecca now, in the birthplace of the prophet of Islam Muhammad, prayed for peace and harmony in their native land, for the prosperity of their country, and for "the independence of Tajikistan would eternal."

Recall that one of the main Muslim holidays – Kurban Bayram – the inhabitants of Tajikistan will celebrate next Monday, on September 12. Early in the morning this day in all mosques of the Republic will be held festive prayers.
