A drill is being conducted for Dushanbe police.  The drill that kicked off Sunday night reportedly involves policemen, special police units, combat engineers, traffic police officers, snipers and armored personnel carriers.

The exercise scenario is based on a group of armed terrorists penetrating into the city and the task of drill participants is to reveal and annihilate them.  The drill that is being conducted in Dushanbe’s Ispecahk and Zarafshon neighborhood units is concluding today. 

Meanwhile, RIA Novosti news agency reports a military exercise has been conducted for servicemen of the Russian military base deployed in Tajikistan n recently.

The purpose of the exercise held at the Lohour training ground was to rehearse coordination and interaction in a special combat operation to block and annihilate illegal armed groups.

According to the press center of the Russian Central Military District, participating units completed a 40-kilometer forced march to the Lohour training ground.
