The Interior Ministry has identified the owner of an expensive car involved in a fatal accident that took place in Dushanbe on July 30.

The Interior Ministry press center noted ten days later that the 24-year-old Odiljon Sharipov, who was at the wheel of Mercedes-Benz, is an investigator at the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).

The military prosecutor’s office is investigating the accident.     

Recall, one person was killed and another was injured in a traffic accident that took place in Dushanbe on July 30.

The accident occurred in the afternoon in Dushanbe’s Vodonasosnaya area.

The 24-year-old resident of Dushanbe, Odiljon Sharipov, reportedly lost control of his Mercedes-Benz and hit two pedestrians.

The pedestrians sustained various injuries and were taken to a hospital.  One of them died in hospital, the Interior Ministry press center said. 

According to the statistic data from the Interior Ministry, 591 traffic accidents have been reported in the country over the first six months of this year.  194 people were killed and 623 others were injured in those accidents.
