President Emomali Rahmon, who is also Head of the Government of Tajikistan, introduced a number of staff changes on November 13, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

Umed Davlatzoda was relieved of his post of Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade in connection with transfer to other job.

Tojiddin Jourazoda, who had previously served as deputy head of the Regional Development Committee under the Government of Tajikistan, was appointed as Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade.   

Hikmatullo Pirakzoda was appointed the First Deputy Chief of the Main Border Guard Directorate at the State Committee for Naitonal Security (SCNS) of Tajikistan.

Nourullo Abdullozoda was appointed Deputy Chief of the SCNS Main Border Guard Directorate.

Besides, chiefs of the border services in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) and the Khatlon province as well as commanders of a number of border units were replaced.  

By government’s decrees chiefs of a number of the SCNS’s offices in the regions and commanders of the Defense Ministry’s military units deployed in the GBAO and the Khatlon province were replaced.  

Soleh Huseinzoda was relieved of his post of Deputy Minister of Defense.

Saidjaffar Safarov was relieved of his post of Deputy Director of the National Library of Tajikistan.  

Suraj Tohirjonzoda replaced Bekmurod Shirinbekzoda as Director of the “Ishkashim” Free Economic Zone (FEZ Ishkashim) in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
