President Emomali Rahmon has introduced a number of staff changes, shaking up regional prosecutors and senior officials of the Accounts Chamber.

According to the Tajik president’s official websites, chief prosecutors in Khatlon’s districts of Temourmalik, Vakhsh and Shamsiddin-Shohin as well as deputy prosecutor of Khatlon province have been replaced.

The head of state has also replaced chief prosecutors in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO)’s districts of Shugnan and Ishkashim as well as the chief prosecutor in the Rasht district (eastern Tajikistan).

Besides, the president has recommended Sobir Salimzoda to the post of chief auditor at the Accounts Chamber of Tajikistan.  

Recall, Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament (Majlisi Oli) elects chief auditors of the Accounts Chamber upon the recommendation of the President; chief auditor may be elected to not more than two seven-year terms.

Besides, by government’s decree Muhammad Ghulomzoda was appointed deputy head of Barqi Tojik (a national integrated power company of Tajikistan. 

President Rahmon received the newly appointed regional prosecutors and the Accounts Chamber officials Friday (May 11) afternoon.
