CIS security council secretaries meet in Moscow to discuss security provision in Central Asia

The Secretaries of the Security Councils of the CIS member nations have gathered in Moscow for an annual meeting that is being held today, according to the Security Council of Tajikistan.

An official source at the Security Council of Tajikistan says the meeting participants are discussing issues related to providing security within the CIS area.

They will review the current military and political situation in Afghanistan, the measures to ensure security in the Central Asian region and issues of preventing spread of radical religious ideas within the CIS area.

The Security Council Secretaries are also expected to discuss matters related to activities of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center, the situation in Syria and the information factor in hybrid wars.

While in Moscow, Tajik Security Council Secretary, Abdurahim Qahhorov, is also expected to hold a number of bilateral meetings.
