A New Year’s party for kids, dubbed “Shahri Orzuho” (City of Dreams), will take place at Dushanbe Circus on December 20 under patronage of Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali.

More than 2,000 pupils form Dushanbe-based boarding schools, excellent pupils and children from vulnerable families have been invited to this party, according to the Dushanbe mayor’s office.

“They will be given presents on behalf of Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali,” an official source at the Dushanbe mayor’s office told Asia-Plus in an interview.  

Besides, Dushanbe mayor reportedly ordered to organize morning performances fo children at all city’s parks from December 20 to January 5.  

The mayor also ordered employees of the city administration to visit veterans of war and labor, elderly people who do not have relatives and vulnerable families and give them New Year’s presents, the source said.
