Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda has reportedly been relieved of his post of governor of Khatlon province.

A source at the Khatlon regional administration says Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda, who had served as governor of Khatlon province over the last five years, was dismissed on January 13. 

The source, however, refrained from giving further details.  He just said that an acting governor of Khatlon province would be introduced to the regional administrators today.  

Meanwhile, official sources in Dushanbe have not confirmed this information and there is no president’s decree on this issue on the president’s official website.
