Major part of Tajik capital will be left without electricity for several hours today in connection with routine maintenance work on power stations in these areas, according to the Dushanbe electricity supply networks.

“Today, electricity supply will be cut off to neighborhoods 46, 61, 62, 63 and 64 as well as Nemat Qaraboyev, Firdavsi, Qosimov, Dehoti, Borbad, Jomi, Mirzo Tusunzoda, Qurbonov, and Yuzhnava Obkhodnaya (Southern Byroad) streets from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in connection with routine maintenance work,” said an official source at the Dushanbe electricity supply networks.  “Besides electricity supply will be cut off to Dehnavak, Alkhitoy, Varzobi Poyon, Jangalak, Krupskaya, Somon, and Gulparvar streets.”

According to him, routine maintenance work will be carried out by turns on all power substations in the city until the beginning of the heating season.

Maintenance work on power stations in the Tajik capital has been carried out since the beginning of the year.
