The 18th session of the Dushanbe local council (Majlis) will be convened on March 15 and issues related to health and public transport sectors have been tabled to the session’s agenda.

The session will discuss the process of implementation of national health care programs in the capital city, according to the Dushanbe administration.

The deputy mayor in charge for public transport will report on the work carried out to ensure regular operation of the public transport in the city, an official source at the Dushanbe administration told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, the issue will also consider the issue of early termination of power of two members of the Dushanbe legislature – Mr. Komiljon Homidov and Ms. Gulchehra Ubaidulloyeva.

The powers of Homidov were reportedly terminated in connection with his death and the powers of Ubaidulloyeva were terminated in connection with moving to another country for permanent residence.

The Dushanbe legislature has 70 members.
