Pakistani company has reportedly proposed to establish medical equipment producing enterprises in Tajikistan.

This issue was discussed here on April 29 at a meeting of senior representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Tajikistan with Mr. Jehangeeir Bajwa, CEO of Amicus Enterprises and Mr. Pervez Shafqar Ali, CEO of Repro Krc (Pvt) Ltd, according to the CCI press center.

The parties discussed the possibility of cooperation on the establishment of a Display Center in Tajikistan, which would present the products of Pakistan, as well as the establishment of joint industrial enterprises.

Mr. Bajwa reportedly suggested the establishment of enterprises for production of medical equipment, particularly x-ray films and surgical instruments, noting two benefits for Tajikistan: reducing the cost of export of these products and the possibility of exporting medical equipment to neighboring countries.

He also noted that Pakistani manufacturers of manicure and pedicure products, textile products, sportswear and sport goods would like to promote their products to Tajikistan market and, possibly, to organize production of them here, the CCI press center said.

Amicus, which was established in 1970 in Sialkot as a manufacturing unit for scissors serving local exporters, gradually developed in to a complete manufacturing unit for all  major surgery instruments.

In 1982 Amicus was registered as an exporter and introduced its products in international markets.

Repro diagnostic imaging was established in 1996.  Repro’s state-of-art industrial set up is steadily growing to be amongst leading concerns dealing with photosensitive material in the world .

Repro’s products range includes medical X-ray films, industrial  X-ray films, graphic art films, intensifying screen, cassettes and processing Chemicals.

Established in 1996, Repro Krc (private) Limited is located in Karachi Pakistan.
