Uzbekistan isolated air passengers arriving from Seoul on February 27, Uzbek Airways said in its telegram-channel.

The passengers were temporarily placed in an isolation facility at the Tashkent airport.  The term of isolation is unknown.  They will be allowed to leave a quarantine facility after a series of precautionary measures by specialists of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan in case if they do not have acute respiratory syndrome symptoms.

These measures are taken by the Uzbek authorities in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus to the country as the coronavirus outbreak has been reported in South Korea.

Meanwhile, CNN reported on February 27 that South Korea has reported its largest number of new infections yet on Thursday.

South Korea reported more than 500 new cases and one death in 24 hours, bringing the national total to 1,766 cases and 13 deaths. Many of the cases are linked to a religious group in the country's south. The total new case count is more than China’s announcement today of 433 new cases.
