Despite the closure of Dushanbe airport, Tajikistan’s privately-owned air carrier Somon Air will operate a special flight to Moscow today to bring back Tajik passengers stuck there.   

According to the Somon Air press center, the company will operate a special flight to Moscow today to carry Russian citizens there and bring back Tajik nationals stuck there. 

By the Civil Aviation Agency’s instruction Somon Air temporary suspends all international flights from and to Tajikistan beginning on March 20 in an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and provide safety of nationals of Tajikistan.  

Recall, Tajikistan closed all its airports at midnight on March 19-20 due to the coronavirus concerns.
