On Friday April 17, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin  held a video conference with chiefs of diplomatic missions of Tajikistan in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and India, according to the Tajik MFA information department.  

The main issue of the conference was the current situation in the world related to the spread of a novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and ways to solve the problems facing Tajik nationals stuck in other countries due COVID-19 border closures.

They reportedly also discussed measures aimed at preventing the spread of novel coronavirus in Tajikistan, the economic and social consequences COVID-19 for the country.

Besides, the conference participants the issues of carrying out explanatory work among fellow countrymen expanding economic cooperation with partner countries, the Tajik MFA information department said.
