In a report released at a news conference in Dushanbe, the chief of the Interior Ministry Organized Crime Control Directorate, Colonel Shodi Hafizzoda, noted on August 3 that terrorists planned to kill police officers in the mentioned districts.

“Several nationals of Tajikistan, who are members of the banned Islamic State (IS) terror group, have been detained on suspicion of preparing those attacks,” Hafizzoda said.

He refrained from giving further details.
