Sixty-eight new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been officially confirmed in Tajikistan over the past three days, bringing a total number of the officially registered cases of COVID-19 in the country since June 21 to 131.  

According to data from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MoHSPP), 23 new cases of COVID-19 were official confirmed on June 26, 24 new cases were reported on June 27 and 21 new cases of OVID-19 were reported on June 28.   

Twenty-three COVID-19 patients have reportedly recovered over the past three days (as of the morning of June 29), according to a MoHSPP. 

Thus, a total number of the confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection in Tajikistan has reached 13,460 since April 30, 2020, when its index cases were confirmed in Dushanbe and Khujand.

The number of those who have been cured in Tajikistan since April 30, 2020 reached 13,252 (99 percent).

The number of the coronavirus-related deaths reportedly remains the same in the country – 90.

Meanwhile, several people, including famous persons, according to their relatives, died of the novel coronavirus in recent days.     

The MoHSPP says more than 200,000 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the country so far.  18,000 of them have already got the second COVID-19 vaccine shot.
