Russian ambassador in Afghanistan will hold a meeting with a senior coordinator of the Taliban (terrorist group, banned in Russia) on Tuesday to discuss embassy security

The Russian Ambassador to Afghanistan Dmitry Zhirnov is holding a meeting with a senior coordinator of the Taliban group in Kabul today to discuss embassy security.

"Our ambassador is in contact with a representative of the Taliban leadership. As he told me just 10 minutes ago, he will meet tomorrow with a coordinator of the Taliban leadership to discuss safety, including safety of our mission," Russian President Vladimir Putin's special envoy for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov said on air of Ekho Moskvy (Echo of Moscow) Radio Station yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Russian ambassador noted yesterday that Afghanistan has chances to include various political forces into power, according to TASS.

He reportedly said earlier in the day that "the situation in Kabul is better [under the Taliban on its first day in that city] than it was under [President] Ashraf Ghani."
