President Emomali Rahmon yesterday replaced a number of regional administrators in Sughd province (northern Tajikistan). President Emomali Rahmon yesterday replaced a number of regional administrators in Sughd province (northern Tajikistan).

Ms. Mavsouma Muini, who had previously served as Deputy Mayor of Dushanbe, was appointed acting Mayor of Buston.

Ms. Rano Hoshimzoda, formerly Mayor of Buston, was appointed acting Mayor of Guliston.  

Mr. Qayumjon Mahmoudzoda was appointed acting Mayor of Istiqlol.

Mr. Shuhrat Muhammadzoda was appointed acting Chairperson of Asht District, replacing Mr. Zarif Mirdado.

Mr. Zarif Mirdado was appointed acting Deputy Governor of Sughd Province, replacing Mr. Zarif Noziri, who was appointed Chairperson of Farkhor District in Khatlon Province in November last year.

Zarif Noziri is he nephew of Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda. 

Mr. Davron Zohidzoda was appointed acting Deputy Governor of Sughd Province. 

Mr. Bakhtiyor Majidi was appointed Director General of the Gold Mining Company Aprelevka (Tajikistan-Canada joint venture).
