"As a result of a shootout on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border, one Tajik border guard was killed, five were injured and were hospitalized", – the source said.

Meanwhile, there is no official confirmation of the death or injury of Tajik border guards.

The media also differs in the numbers of the wounded. Two to five injured are reported, citing sources.

The border service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported the injury of two servicemen.

The press service of the Border Service reported that as a result of a mine explosion from a mortar, one border guard received a slight shrapnel wound – the shrapnel went tangentially, the second soldier received a shell shock.
