Tajikistan has the lowest average monthly wage in Central Asia.

In August this year, the average monthly wage in Tajikistan amounted to 1,623 somonis (equivalent to 159.00 U.S. dollars), which is a decrease of 14.7 percent compared to July (1,902.71 somonis) this year and an increase of 17.8 percent compared to August last year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.  

In June this year, the average monthly wage in Tajikistan was reported at 1,907.310 somonis.  This records an increase from the previous number of 1,650.950 somonis for May 2022.

As far as the average monthly wage in Uzbekistan is concerned, Uzbekistan’s average monthly wage in September amounted to 3.72 million sums (equivalent to 335 US dollars), which is an increase of 24.9 percent compared to September last year, according to the State Committee for Statistics of Uzbekistan. 

As far as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan are concerned, the average monthly wages in these countries in June were US$650.00, US$279.00 and US$383.00, respectively.
