Presided over by Prime Minister Qohir Rasouzloda, a government session took place on October 28, according to Khovar news agency.  

The Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqi Zavqizoda reported on measures taken to ensure the regular work of the country's economy during winter period. 

It was noted that a republican commission had been set up to ensure the implementation of the government resolution on taking timely preparations to ensure the regular work of the country's economy during autumn-winter 2023-2024.

Heads of relevant ministries and agencies were ordered to take adequate measures to ensure regular operation of energy, industrial and social facilities during winter period and prepare fuel and anti-skid materials.  

The session participants also discussed issues related to organizing summer holidays for children and teenagers in 2023 and issuing hunting licenses in 2023-2024.  

Khovar says the session participants also discussed a number of draft laws and government’s opinions on them.  The draft laws were submitted for consideration to the parliament.  

The session participants reportedly also discussed a draft government-to-government between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea on loan funds of the Economic Cooperation Development Fund and a draft note exchange agreement between the governments of Tajikistan and Japan in the framework of the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers program.

They also endorse the national employment promotion program designed for 2023-2024 and the national program of development of the scientific and experimental base of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan designed for 2023-2027, according to Khovar.
