President Emomali Rahmon began his four-day working visit to the northern province of Sughd today morning.

The city of Guliston is the first leg of Rahmon’s visit to northern Tajikistan.  While in the city, the head of state participated in official opening ceremonies of two poultry farms, according to the Tajik president’s official website.  

Ganji Somon Limited Liability Company (LLC) with an annual capacity of 500 tons reportedly has four broiler chicken nurseries.

Twenty people work for the Ganji Somon poultry farm at an average monthly wage of 1,500 somonis.

The enterprise is equipped with modern facilities and technologies worth more than 2 million somonis and 50,000 chickens are raised at this enterprise, the Tajik president’s official website emphasizes.  

Twelve people work for another poultry farm called Murghi Bebaho, which has an annual capacity of 300 tons of chicken meat.  

A refrigerated warehouse for storage of 3,000 tons of agricultural goods and meat products has been opened near the Murghi Bebaho poultry farm.  

The President reportedly instructed to build more such modern refrigerated warehouse.  

Emomali Rahmon will stay in Sughd province for four days.  While in Sughd’s capital, Khujand, he will festive celebrations dedicated to Navrouz holiday.
