As part of his working visit to Khatlon province, President Emomali Rahmon yesterday got acquainted with the progress of rehabilitation of the Qizilqala-Bokhtar section of the highway connecting Dushanbe and Bokhtar, the capital of the Khatlon province.

Recall, a tender for rehabilitation of the Qizilqala-Bokhtar section of the Dushanbe-Bokhtar highway took place in Tokyo on March 16, 2021 and only Dai Nippon Construction participated in the tender.

The Government of Japan has reportedly allocated 3,232,000,000 Japanese Yen, in addition to 117, 000,000 Japanese Yen for detailed design, through JICA to support the implementation of the project.

Under this project, the transportation and traffic safety in part of the Dushanbe-Bokhtar highway will be improved through the rehabilitation of the Qizilqala-Bokhtar section of the highway, thereby contributing to the economic development of Tajikistan.

The Tajik president’s official website says the road construction measures in the first and second stages have been successfully completed, and now, “at the next stage, taking into account the expansion of the highway, it will be introduced into operation along four traffic lines within the specified period.”

On the same day, Rahmon reportedly attended an official opening ceremony of Kholnazar Safarov Limited Liability Company (the poultry slaughter shop) in Bokhtar’s Vahdat neighborhood.

The total area of the facility, which consists of a poultry reception point, a slaughterhouse, premises for cleaning, cutting, packaging, a cold store with a volume of 1,000 tons of meat products, as well as a canteen and other utility rooms, is reportedly 0.6 hectare.

The latest and digital technologies, which can be controlled by computers, are imported from abroad using the benefits provided by the Government of the country in the field of poultry farming.

The shop reportedly can slaughter up to 10,000 birds a day. The cold store of the facility consists of seven warehouses in accordance with the requirements, and the cooling inside each of them is provided by modern equipment.  Seven special vehicles have been purchased and put into operation to deliver poultry and transport meat to the required location.  This type of service was launched in order to establish comprehensive cooperation with poultry enterprises.

Emomali Rahmon then visited the exhibition of meat products of Bokhtar manufacturing enterprises.

On April 24, the President also got acquainted with the modern greenhouse of Muhsiddin "N" Production Cooperative and visited the exhibition of the early products of the city's farmers.

The total area of the Production Cooperative "Muhsiddin" is 10.14 hectares.  The greenhouse was built by domestic entrepreneurs.  Currently, cucumbers of various types, tomatoes, bell peppers and eggplants are grown in the greenhouse.  Vegetables in greenhouses are reportedly drip-irrigated and supplied with food.
