Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu orders military supplies to be kept ‘under special control’ after Wagner Group head’s video criticizing Russia’s military command for ammo shortages.

Meduza reported on May 6 that according to the Russian military, Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered the supply of weapons for the “special military operation” (SMO) to be kept “under special control.”

Shoigu reportedly gave this order while conducting an inspection in the Southern Military District.  The ministry also released a video of Shoigu examining military equipment.

Recall, Wagner Group head Evgeny Prigozhin directly addressed Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov earlier on May 5, blaming them and Russia’s elites generally for setbacks in Bakhmut (where Wagner Group has been fighting at heavy costs for months).
