On the margins of the 13th international industrial exhibition, dubbed INNOPROM-203, which is being held in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg, Tajik Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir on July 10 delivered a statement at a penal session.

He, in particular, noted that the Government of Tajikistan’s intends to attract foreign investments in large projects.

He outlined sectors like mining and hydropower as areas that could drive the trade between Tajikistan and the Russian Federation.

According to him, the production of green hydrogen in the near future will become the basis for the development of the national economy and  “in the future it will have a huge cumulative effect."

Also called renewable hydrogen, green hydrogen is obtained by electrolysis of water.  The most crucial thing is that this process is powered entirely by renewable energy, so it generates no polluting emissions into the atmosphere and is the cleanest and most sustainable hydrogen.

“We are ready to create the best conditions so that foreign investor could feel comfortable and be protected in Tajikistan,” the minister added.

While in Yekaterinburg, representatives of Tajik delegation also met with representatives of the Russian business community and Tajik entrepreneurs living and working in the Russian Federation.

During a meeting with Tajik entrepreneurs and activists of Tajik Diaspora in Ural Federal District, Sherali Kabir and the governor of the Tajik northern province of Sughd Rajabboy Ahmadzoda told them about Tajikistan’s investment opportunities.

They, in particular, noted that a favorable investment climate had been created in Tajikistan and hundreds of industrial enterprises have been introduced into operation.

They proposed the entrepreneurs to set up livestock and poultry farms, enterprises for producing building materials and processing agricultural products.

Recall, more than 30 Tajik companies are participating in the 13th international industrial exhibition, dubbed INNOPROM-203, which kicked off in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg on July 10 and is concluding tomorrow.

Members of the Tajik delegation participating in the event include the Minister of Industry and new Technologies Sherali Kabir, Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) Governor Alisher Mirzonabot, Sughd Governor Rajabboy Ahmadzoda and some others.

The Ministry of Industry and New Technologies (MoINT) of Tajikistan has organized a thematic stand “Tajikistan Is the Country of Breakthrough Metals and Materials”, which presents products of more than 30 domestic companies.

Among them are products of light and food industries, chemical industry, manufacturing engineering, building materials and non-ferrous metallurgy.

The main theme of INNOPROM 2023 is "Sustainable Production: Strategies for Renewal".

INNOPROM is an international platform for finding new customers, suppliers, partners and investors. It reportedly once again became an intellectual platform where business and government leaders propose their solutions aimed at overcoming previously unprecedented risks and threats.

INNOPROM exhibits the products and services that include Industry, Energy Efficiency, Nano and Micro Technologies, Medicine and Biotechnologies, Ecology and Effective Use of Resources, Security and Safety technologies and devices, Tele Communication, IT, Education, Transport, Construction, Agriculture.
