Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Tajikistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, said he condemns the attack on the Shah Cheragh Mosque in Iran. He expressed his condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

The Minister said that he learned about the involvement of a Tajik citizen in this incident from the media.

"So far, Iran has not sent an official request to Tajikistan in connection with this incident. In case of such a request, the relevant structures of the two countries will coordinate their work," he said.

Muhriddin also added that the incident will not affect or harm bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Iran.

The day before, Tajik citizen was named as the perpetrator of the terrorist attack at the Shah Cheragh mosque in the city of Shiraz, located in the province of Fars in southwestern Iran. This was announced by the chairman of the regional court Kazem Mousavi.

"At the moment, eight people suspected of involvement in a terrorist act have been arrested," the Iranian Fars news agency quoted him.
