President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon signed a decree on the autumn conscription, which will begin on October 1 and last until November 30, the press service of the head of the Republic of Tajikistan reports.

According to the decree, young people born in 1996-2005 will be called up for military service in the autumn campaign.

And the servicemen who have served the established term of military service will be dismissed from the Armed Forces in October-November 2023.

The heads of cities and districts, together with military commissariats, were instructed to conduct an organized conscription of citizens for military service.

The Ministry of Culture, the Youth and Sports Committee, the Television and Radio Committee were instructed to "widely reflect the preparation and process of conscription of citizens for military service."

According to the order, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan is obliged to mobilize experienced doctors and specialists for a control medical examination of conscripts.

It should be noted that according to the new law, young men of military age can pay for a month's military service and receive a military ticket.

Until September 1 of this year, its size was 420 indicators for accounts (one indicator for calculations is 68 somoni), but according to new changes and additions, it has now become 750 indicators for calculations.

It is worth noting that the topic of conscription of young people into the army in Tajikistan has been relevant for more than a year. Unsuitable conditions, ill-treatment of soldiers, hazing and the death of young people in military units are the main reasons why young people refuse to serve in Tajik army.

In Tajikistan, young people from 18 to 27 years old are called up to serve in the army in spring and autumn.
