President Emomali Rahmon yesterday held phone talks with deputy prime minister in charge of agriculture, agriculture minister, governors of Khatlon and Sughd provinces  and heads of Kuhistoni Mastchoh, Devashtich, Lakhsh, Tojikobod, Rasht, Panj, Jaihoun, Sharitous and Qubodiyon districts.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, they reported on the progress of agricultural works in the mentions provinces and districts. 

In the course of the talks, Rahmon ordered the mentioned officials to take adequate measures to ensure the regular work of their provinces and districts’ economies during the winter season.  

The head of state reportedly pointed to the necessity of taking measures “to ensure comprehensive preparation of the population, economic, social and cultural for the winter period, timely harvest of cotton, potatoes, fruits and vegetables, and providing the consumer market with products of domestic production.” 

The Tajik president’s official website emphasized that Emomali Rahmon noted “that each family should make stocks of high-quality food products and crop seeds for the coming year.”
