President Emomali Rahmon held a working meeting on September 27 with the participation of Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) Speaker Rustam Emomali, who is also the Mayor of Dushanbe, Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda, Head of President’s Executive Office Ozoda Rahmon and heads of military structures and law enforcement agencies, the Tajik president’s official website said.

The current state of affairs in the national economy, timely harvest, adequate preparations for winter, in particular the preparation of social facilities as well as road and transport infrastructures for the cold season, and making food stocks were reportedly among the main issues of the meeting.  

The head of state reportedly gave specific instructions to the participants of the meeting and heads of other structures and authorities regarding the mentioned issues.

According to the Tajik president's official website, Emomali Rahmon emphasized the issue of carrying out the autumn conscription campaign and providing the military personnel with clothes and food as best as possible.
