The Dushanbe Police Directorate gave details of recent incident involving students of three capital’s school that took place in Dushanbe on January 20.

Commenting on the incident video that was posted on social networks and caused a wide resonance, the Dushanbe Police Directorate says that imitating the heroes of the famous Russian crime drama television series “The Boy’s Word: Blood on the Asphalt”, teens have disrupted public order.

According to the Dushanbe Police Directorate, they have managed to prevent a massive brawl between 13 students of Dushanbe’s schools ## 8, 43 and 62 who gathered on Mayakovsky Street on January 20 at 8:00 pm.

The conflict between teenagers reportedly began with mutual insults on Instagram and they then decided to sort things out in a fight.

“Thanks to prompt and timely actions of police officers, a massive brawl and possible negative consequences were prevented,” says a statement released by the Dushanbe Police Directorate.

Administrative protocols were reportedly drawn up against parents of 13 school students in accordance with Article 90 of the Administrative Code of Tajikistan — failure to fulfill the duties of guardianship, education and upbringing of minors.

The protocols have moved to a court and the parents could face warning or fines in amounts ranging from three to seven calculating indicators (current calculating indicator (estimate) is equal to 72.00 somonis) were imposed on them.

The Boy's Word: Blood on the Asphalt is a 2023 Russian crime drama television series directed by Zhora Kryzhovnikov and written by Kryzhovnikov and Andrey Zolotarev.  It is based on the novel "The Boy's Word: Criminal Tatarstan 1970—2010s" by Robert Garaev about the Kazan phenomenon. The series became very popular in Russia and other post-Soviet countries.

The main character, fourteen-year-old Andrey, lives with his mother and five-year-old sister. He studies at a music school and often encounters street teenagers who harasses him.  To protect himself, Andrey makes friends with one of these teenagers, Marat.  Marat helps him to immerse in the world of street life, gang life. Youth groups fight for every piece of territory; they defend their right to live the life, even breaking laws and promises.  The only thing that matters to them is the vows they make to their gang members-brothers, with whom they confront the violence and fears of the adult world.

At the same time, begins the story of the relationship between Andrey and a young employee of the juvenile affairs inspectorate, Irina.

It is to be noted that the series “The Boy’s Word” has sparked controversy for glorifying crime and having a negative influence on teenagers, raising questions about the responsibility of those who produce and finance such content.
