The Tajik national chess team is being trained by Kazakh grandmaster Evgeny Vladimirov. The Chess Federation of the Republic of Tajikistan has invited him to prepare the athletes of the main team for the upcoming international competitions.

The Chess Federation informed “Asia-Plus” that Vladimirov conducts a series of master classes and trainings at the Dushanbe Chess Center.

“The training program includes both theoretical and practical classes. Chess players practice strategy, tactics, and then analyze their performance and eliminate their shortcomings. There are also simulation games in which I give each participant individual recommendations,” – said the grandmaster himself.

The main purpose of the training is to increase the competitiveness of Tajik chess players in the international arena.

The Chess Federation of Tajikistan hopes that after these trainings, the team will be better prepared and show results in upcoming competitions, including future chess Olympiads.

Evgeny Vladimirov (born 1957 in Almaty) is a Kazakhstani chess player, grandmaster (1989). Two-time men's chess champion of the Kazakh SSR (1987, 1988). Kazakhstan Men's chess champion (1998).

Senior coach of FIDE (2004). In 1982-1986, he was one of the coaches of the world champion Garry Kasparov.
