Kazakhstan's Su-30SM combat aircraft used aerial bombs on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) reports.

“During the exercise, a missile strike was carried out by the “Orion” unmanned aerial vehicle of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and airstrikes against the advancing main enemy forces by Su-30SM aircraft of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan using aviation bombs. The Russian “Supercam” drone carried out target destruction control,” – the CSTO said in a statement.

On September 11, the active phase of the command and staff exercises with the collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CSR) of the CSTO “Interaction-2024”, special exercises “Search-2024” and “Echelon-2024” ended in Kyrgyzstan at the “Edelweiss” training ground.

According to the legend of the exercises, the conditional enemy established control over part of the territory in the border area, captured a number of settlements. As soon as possible, military contingents of the CSTO member states were relocated to the conditional militant invasion zone.

“The company-tactical groups of the CSR from the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan have worked out blocking and destroying the forces of a conditional enemy on the approach to settlements with fire support from Mi-17 army aviation helicopters of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan and Mi-8 MTV helicopters of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan.

In order to prevent the approach of enemy reserves to the locality blocked by the CSTO CSR, a tactical airborne landing as part of a special purpose group of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan was parachuted from an An-26 military transport aircraft,” – the CSTO reported.

The landing of troops from army aviation helicopters allowed the company-tactical groups of the CSR to occupy an advantageous position to prevent the capture of populated areas by “militants”. The tactical airborne troops included special forces groups from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. The actions of the paratroopers were supported by D-30 and “MSTA-B” artillery batteries. Special forces groups of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus have worked out the cleanup of settlements.

“Thanks to the active and coordinated actions of the CSTO CSR units, the enemy was destroyed, the state border was restored,” – the organization noted.

During the exercises, special attention was paid to the use of unmanned aircraft and countering it, as well as the joint use of electronic warfare and fire damage.

The maneuvers were observed by CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov, representatives of the defense departments of the CSTO countries and the military and diplomatic corps of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Great Britain, Canada, China, Korea, Poland, USA, Turkey, France, Japan, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the OSCE.
