Tajik wrestlers Dadakhon Kurbonaliev (+100 kg) and Khaknazar Nazarov (90 kg) won bronze medals at the V World Nomad Games.

Both Tajik athletes competed in the Kazakh national wrestling.

A master wrestling competition with the participation of Tajik athletes will take place today.

The World Nomad Games are being held in Astana. More than 3,000 athletes from 90 countries, including 56 participants from Tajikistan, take part in them.

They are represented in 7 types: Kazakh national wrestling (Kazakh kuresi), Turkish national belt wrestling (ashirtmali Aba Gureshi), kurash, tug of war (arkan tartys), ordo (Kyrgyz folk game), mas-wrestling (tug of war – folk game of the northern peoples of Russia) and power nomad (combination of the 5 power types)

The Tajik national team ranks 22nd in the team competition. The hosts of the tournament, the team of Kazakhstan, are in the lead in the overall medal standings.
