Tajik President Emomali Rahmon yesterday   Congratulatory telegram to the President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu Maia Sandu and Donald Trump on their victories in presidential elections, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

His telegram of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, reads:

"Excellency,

“I sincerely congratulate You on your re-election to the office of the President of the Republic of Moldova.

“I wish you strong health, happiness and success in the continuation of the responsible work of your state, and to the friendly people of Moldova – lasting peace and stability, progress and prosperity.

“During the period of independence, our countries established and developed constructive cooperative relations in various fields of mutual interest based on the principles of friendship, mutual understanding and respect.

“I believe that the two sides, relying on these good traditions, will continue to make the necessary efforts for the development and expansion of their interstate relations. I express my readiness for joint actions in this regard."

Emomali Rahmon’s telegram of congratulations to the President-elect of the United States of America Donald Trump reads:

"Excellency,

“It is a great honor for me to extend my sincere congratulations to you on the occasion of Your victory in the election of the President of the United States of America.

“We are very optimistic about the future of friendly relations and beneficial multifaceted partnership with the United States of America.

“We consider the consistent development and expansion of these ties in all fields of mutual interest as one of the most important areas of our state’s foreign policy.  We always stand ready to continue the fruitful interstate dialogue between our countries at various levels in order to promote good cooperation.
