Addressing a joint meeting of both chambers of Parliament, President Emomali Rahmon announced significant wage, pension, and student grants increases starting September 1, 2025.

Kindergarten and school teachers will see a 30% salary increase.

Salaries for other public sector workers, including law enforcement and military personnel, will rise by 20%.

The minimum wage will be set at 1,000 somonis, up from the current 800 somonis.

Basic pensions and social benefits will increase by 10%.

These changes reportedly aim to improve living standards, support public sector workers, and strengthen social stability.
