The Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustam Emomali, has emphasized the need to account for the city's growing population to attract more domestic and foreign investment, particularly grants for the reconstruction and construction of outdated networks, roads, water and sewage infrastructure, power supply, and the building of new modern substations.

The 21st session of the Dushanbe legislature of the sixth convocation took place in Dushanbe on December 31.  

The Dushanbe mayor’s office says that during the session, the mayor instructed his deputies, in collaboration with relevant agencies, to ensure the implementation of the action plan for celebrating the 35th anniversary of state independence, complete road repair and reconstruction projects with quality and within the set deadlines, and take appropriate measures for the timely execution of city projects.

Dushanbe legislature members also reviewed the mayor's report titled "On the Results of Dushanbe’s Socio-Economic Development in 2024 and Objectives for 2025", the city’s budget for 2025, the implementation of the "Craft Development Program in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021–2025", and the mayor's office's action plan in this area.
