The presentation of the unified portal of public service, Portal EGOV.TJ, took place in Dushanbe on April 7 as part of the week of information and communications technologies, ICT Week.

Developed by the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, the new digital resource is part of the state program for digitalization and aims to integrate the internet resources of government agencies and provide public services electronically.

Amir Hotami, head of the Development and Marketing Department of the Joint-Stock Company (JSC) Certification Centers, Government Services, and Digital Program Development, told Asia-Plus about the new platform and the tasks it solves.

According to him, EGOV.TJ is a unified website builder, based on which the official web resources of all government institutions in the country are created.

“To date, more than 40 websites of various ministries and agencies are already technically ready.  These include the Dushanbe City Hall website and the General Prosecutor's Office website.  All of them have been developed within the project called EPIR and will be hosted on the unified portal," he noted.

The specialist emphasized that one of the key tasks of the platform is standardization: whereas previously each agency maintained its website according to its own standards, now all resources are developed and administered in a unified visual and technical format. EGOV.TJ will also aggregate up-to-date information about the work of government structures and publish the latest news.

The portal development began in September of last year.  The first 10 websites were ready by November.  Their number continues to grow, with new resources being added after the completion of contractual procedures with the relevant agencies.
