In Dushanbe, a teenager stabbed another during a conflict, the Dushanbe Police Directorate reported.

Criminal proceedings have reportedly been instituted opened regarding the fight between the minors and the case is being investigated by officers of police station-2 in Dushanbe’ Sino district.

According to preliminary information, the minor U.P. stabbed his peer B.R. several times during an argument.  The injured teenager was hospitalized.

"The commission of hooligan acts by minors, especially involving knives and causing bodily harm to each other, is a serious issue requiring immediate action.  In order to prevent such negative incidents, parents and community activists must remain vigilant," the Dushanbe Police Directorate emphasized.

Law enforcement officers are urging parents, teachers, and community activists to strengthen their supervision over teenagers’ activities and behavior, and to respond promptly to signs of aggression and conflicts among young people.

It is worth noting that since 2019, Tajikistan has been conducting an annual “Knife” Operation aimed at preventing violence among teenagers and young people.  This campaign focuses on identifying and confiscating various types of cold weapons from youth in order to prevent hooliganism and conflicts among minors.
