The Jerusalem Post says The New York Times reported that while Iranian officials assume that talks with Trump were on negotiating a ceasefire with Israel, the US president wants to focus on the Iranian nuclear program.

US President Donald Trump reportedly told senior aides that he approved of plans to attack Iran, but he is waiting to see if Iran will abandon its nuclear program before giving the final order, three sources familiar with the discussions said to the Wall Street Journal, according to The Jerusalem Post.

The Jerusalem Post had previously reported that Commander of US Central Command (CENTCOM) Gen. Michael Kurilla met with US President Donald Trump and presented him with military options regarding Iran.

CBS reports that Donald Trump has approved plans to attack Iran, but has not made a final decision on whether to strike the country.

Citing a senior intelligence source, CBS says the US president held off on initiating strikes in case Iran agreed to abandon its nuclear program.  Trump is reportedly considering a US strike on Fordo, an underground uranium enrichment facility in Iran.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday rejected Trump's demand for unconditional surrender, as the US president said his patience had run out.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Mehr News Agency (MNA) reported yesterday that Iran’s permanent mission to the United Nations in New York has rejected claims by U.S. President Donald Trump that Iran “reached out” and “wants to negotiate.”

The permanent mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations in New York reportedly says no Iranian official has demanded a meeting at the White House.

The mission issued a statement on Wednesday after U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that Iran has “reached out” and “wants to negotiate.”

The Iranian mission rejected the claim as a lie, saying that no Iranian official has ever demanded to “kneel down at the gates of the White House.”

A semi-official Tasnim News Agency, which is associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), reported today that the IRGC has launched fresh missile strikes against Israeli targets, using heavy, long-range, two-stage Sejjil missiles for the first time.

The IRGC reportedly carried out the 12th wave of retaliatory missile strikes against Israel as part of Operation True Promise III on Wednesday night.

In a statement, the IRGC’s public relations office announced the launch of the operation, warning the Israeli settlers to flee the occupied territories.
