At a meeting of the Government of Tajikistan, held on August 28 under the chairmanship of President Emomali Rahmon, the Program for the development of primary and secondary vocational education in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026-2030 was approved.

According to the press service of the head of state, the program was developed to solve problems in the fields of primary and secondary vocational education, including updating the training system, strengthening the material and technical base, repairing and constructing buildings, educational laboratories and workshops, retraining and advanced training of teachers and masters of industrial training, improving the quality of training workers, digitalization systems and wider involvement of young people in the development of professions.

The relevant ministries and departments have been instructed to implement the program within the planned funds and annually provide the Government with information on its results.

The State Program for the development of digital television broadcasting in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026-2030 and an action plan for its implementation were also approved. It was noted that the purpose of the program is to fully cover the country with the signal of state TV channels and radio stations in digital format, as well as to develop infrastructure and meet the information needs of society and citizens.

At the end of the meeting, the Head of state pointed out the need for timely preparations for the autumnwinter period of 2025-2026.

On the same day, the President presented state awards and awarded special titles to distinguished representatives of the country's law and power enforcement agencies. In particular, they received the rank of ColonelGeneral:

Emomali Sobirzoda, Minister of Defense;

Habibullo Vohidzoda, Attorney General;

Abdurakhmon Alamshozoda, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.

Until now, they had the rank of Lieutenant General.

Several colonels have been promoted to the rank of generals, among them:

  Akhtam Abdullozoda, Head of the Penitentiary Service;

Barot Rasuli, First Deputy Director of the Agency for State Financial Control and AntiCorruption;

Khurshed Odinazoda, Head of the Representative Office of the Customs Service of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation;

Navruz Tokhirzoda, prosecutor of the military garrison of Sughd region.
