On Friday September 26, President Emomali Rahmon visited Vahdat Township, where he inaugurated several industrial facilities aimed at boosting local production and employment, the Tajik president’s official website reports.

Among the highlights was the opening of the TALANT brick plant — the only facility in the country with a retractable roof, enabling year-round operation.

The plant, founded by entrepreneur Muhammadi Qodirzoda and his brothers, has a production capacity of up to 250,000 units of fired brick per day and currently employs 60 workers, according to the presidential press service. Utilizing advanced technologies, including robotics and multifunctional equipment, the factory manufactures products under the “Elok” brand, adhering to international standards. Raw materials such as white sand, red clay, and coal sand are used in production.

Occupying a 3-hectare site along the Dushanbe–Kulob–Khorog highway, the facility is also equipped with office spaces and service centers.

President Rahmon emphasized the significance of the project for industrialization, economic growth, and job creation in the region.

In another development, the President launched the operations of a new industrial enterprise — Zinnat Gach LLC, led by local entrepreneur Abdulhafiz Rahimov.

The factory produces 14 types of construction materials, including gypsum boards, plaster, paints, and adhesives, all compliant with international quality standards.

Approximately 75% of the raw materials used are sourced domestically, contributing to import substitution efforts.  With a projected annual output of up to 1 million units of gypsum board and 50 tons of additional products, the facility features modern foreign-made equipment ensuring high production quality. Currently employing 40 people, the workforce is expected to grow to 100.

President Rahmon highlighted the strategic importance of this facility in advancing industrialization, economic development, and the efficient use of natural resources.
