The president emphasized that the target for 2026 is to ensure economic growth of at least 8%.

According to him, one of the key achievements was the significant increase in the population’s income. “Over the past 10 years, income levels have reportedly grown sixfold. In 2015, total income amounted to 26 billion somonis, while in 2025 this figure rose to 165 billion somonis,” Emomali Rahmon said.

The president also noted that the poverty rate in the country has decreased to 19%, compared to 21.2% at the end of 2024.

Additionally, Emomali Rahmon reported a significant increase in the average life expectancy of the population. Over the past 10 years, life expectancy has reportedly risen by 7 years, reaching 77 years in 2025, compared to 70 years in 2015. The country’s population has also grown by 26%, from 8.5 million to 10.7 million people.

Among other significant achievements reported by the president were the successful conduct of elections to the Majlisi Oli, the resolution of border issues with Kyrgyzstan, and the signing of the Khujand Declaration.

Special attention was given to Tajikistan's international initiatives for glacier protection. At the country's initiative, December 12 was declared as the International Day of the Cryosphere and Glacier Protection. The country also hosted a high-level international conference on glaciers.

The president highlighted the importance of including several Tajik landmarks in the UNESCO World Heritage List and the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of a resolution declaring 2027 the International Year of Legal Literacy.
