The President of Tajikistan has signed a decree dismissing several judges from their posts.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, some of them were removed due to "acts discrediting the honor and dignity of a judge."

Samandar Qalandar was dismissed from his position as judge of the Jaloliddin-Balkhi district court, and Nozim Davlatzoda was relieved of his duties as judge of the Baljuvon district court.

The specific nature of their misconduct has not been disclosed.

In addition, Manizha Sharifzoda resigned from her post as judge of the Isfara city court at her own request.

Qamariddin Tabarzoda, chairman of the Khovaling district court, and Muhammadsaid Shohiyon, judge of the Dushanbe city court, were dismissed due to reaching the mandatory retirement age.

Judge of the Sughd Regional Court, Badridin Sharifzoda, was relieved of his post due to his passing.
