DUSHANBE, October 28, 2008, Asia-Plus  – The source at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) told Asia-Plus today that the guard of Orienbonk’s branch, Sergeant Odina Davlatov, had been killed by a random shot.

“The investigation has established that Sergeant Davlatov was accidentally shot by his colleague, Sergeant Alijon Shokirov,” the source said.   

“On that ill-fated day, Shokirov came to see his colleague.  He took Davlatov’s pistol and accidentally shot,” said the source, “Having seen unfeeling corpse of his colleague, Shokirov escaped from the scene of crime.”

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Shokirov under the provisions of Article 108 of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – reckless homicide.    

As it had been reported earlier, Sergeant Odina Davlatov, the guard of Orienbonk’s branch on the Vladimir Maykovsky Street in Dushanbe’s Sino district was shot dead on October 19.
