DUSHANBE, April 18, 2013, Asia-Plus – Two persons were killed and at least one other was seriously injured on April 17 as a heavy truck KAMAZ fell into a 300-meter precipice in the northern Sughd province, according to the Interior Ministry traffic police directorate.
“The accident took place in the evening on the 150th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Chanak highway,” said an official source at the traffic police directorate. “Saidghani Akramov, 63, apparently lost control of the truck and t fell into a 300-meter precipice.”
The driver and one of his passengers died on the spot, while another passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries, the source said.
