DUSHANBE, September 5, 2013, Asia-Plus – Status and prospects of Tajik-British cooperation were discussed during the meeting of the Tajik Finance Minister, SafaraliNajmiddinov, with the British Ambassador, Robin Ord-Smith.

Finance Ministry secretariat reports that exchange of opinions on current issues and cooperation perspectives between both countries in phinancial and other spheres.

Results of July negotiations between Tajikistan and Britain on coordinating the Agreement bill on avoiding double taxation, regarding imposition of taxes on income and on capital were discussed.

It was noted that after the end of the first round of negotiations delegations signed a joint protocol bill.

The parties expressed mutual interest in full preparation of all necessary documents for holding the second round of negotiations, which are planned to be held in the UK.

They noted that signing of the Agreement will give further momentum in the development of mutually beneficial economic and trade relations between our countries, and will help improve investment climate in both of the negotiating states.
