DUSHANBE, September 11, 2013, Asia-Plus – Drug Control Agency officers in Soghd Province during the holidays were able to suppress the activities of a criminal drug ring selling drugs in the Province.

The Drug Control Agency reported to Asia-Plus that during the search operations three persons were arrested, who were engaged in cannabis marketing in the Province. One of them is an 11th grade student.

During the further search operations, it was found that the rings’ organizer is a 34-year-old Chkalov resident, who was previously convicted based on Article 247 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code. He too is arrested by the Agency officers. Cannabis has also been found and confiscated in his vehicle.

Criminal case has been opened based on Article 200, Part 3 of the Criminal Code (Drug Trafficking), and investigation continues.
