DUSHANBE, December 4, 2013, Asia-Plus — Lawyers of Zayd Saidov, a disgraced entrepreneur, ask Emamali Rahman to receive them in order to tell the President in more detail about legal violations and falsifications in criminal case of their defendant, Zayd Saidov.
All three lawyers of Mr. Saidov signed the statement – Fakhriddin Zakirov, Ishaq Tabarov, and Shuhrat Qudratov.
The lawyers stated, while talking about violations of the Constitution and Criminal Procedure Code: “We do not see another way, other than meeting with you, since we are sure that one of the reasons of this unpleasant situation is that relevant state structures are trying to close up the reality of criminal case from you.”
The lawyers state: “As a whole, we are talking about violations of the law, violations of our defendant”s rights, and an one-sided investigation. The goal of this position is not to find the truth, but on the contrary, to slander Zayd Saidov, and to hang especially heavy charges.”
The defendants bring up the fact that in the beginning of investigation brochures were being handed out, which contained slander against Zayd Saidov, programs were shown through state television channels with the same type of content by the Anti-Corruption Agency.
They also do not agree with sexual criminal charges. They think that “it is an empty charge,” and that DNA test results were made up by investigators of the Anti-Corruption Agency, since the Moscow Laboratory “BioPapa” did not approve Zayd Saidov”s fatherhood to the child, whose mother was supposedly raped by him.
This is while the head of investigation group of Zayd Saidov”s case, Firouz Khalmuradov, denies that the DNA results for Zayd Saidov were falsified.
